Answers: Introduction In every organization the working and the leadership style of the organization determines the profit and service. In such case, the management and the leaders need to motivate the employees to retain the perfect organizational structure. PM Company could not retain the leadership attributes, which degraded the service of the organization the self, employed at the same tome the ones who were part of the organization could not work effectively (Lumby and Coleman, 2010). The new CEO thus needs to amend the system and have best skills in the organization. Task 1 1. Importance of selection process and implication of legal regulatory The most important aspect of the selection process is the qualification required for the post or the designation. This helps in the recruitment of the people who are able in their position. This ensures higher productivity and proficiency in the organization. Ryan (2010) mentions the quality of the production or the service by the employees ensures the satisfaction. Apart from this, the selection process is also important to enhance the organizational culture of the company. In the present case, PM Company needs to have effective selection process that would enhance the working culture of the company. The application for the recruitment process is measures against the norms and the expectation of the organization. In the present company, it is important to note that the company needs to come out of the critical situation through implementation of a proper process. The employees are the base of the organization who can serve the organization based on the expectations. The new hire has the enthusiasm to do well in their respective areas and to help in regard of the expectation. PM Company is one of the companies that could not channel the needs of the organization and has poor services. The recruitment process with effective human resource could be effective (Senior, 2010). The documents required for the selection or the recruitment process is the credentials. This acts as the legal document and as the proof that is important for the recruitment process of the company. Sinclair (2010) put forward the documents include the pass certificates of different levels of academic background. The documents required include the application letter, and then come the credentials and finally the job offer letter or the acceptance letter from the employee. Thus, the list for the recruitment process would include the mentioned structure. First the application of the interested employee, the credentials in the interview process, the offer letter and the acceptance letter of the offer from PM Company. The legal consideration important in the recruitment process includes no discrimination based on race, ancestry, color, place of origin, religion, political belief, family status, marital status, mental disability, age, sex or sexual orientation. These are the basic things based on which PN company cannot make use of the distinction in the recruitment process. Apart from this, the ethical consideration is that the organization needs to offer the respect to the employees. PM Company needs to amend the necessary security in the job with the help of the right sizing of the organization. Williams (2005) opine the requirement of the legislature includes that there must not be any discrimination with respect to the background or the orientation of the people. The job seekers need to be ensured equally along with the authentication of the hiring process. The selection process of the PM Company entails that within the above-mentioned tactics and the consideration the employment process has t o be effective. 2. Part in the selection process and the contribution The role of the new CEO in the recruitment process includes selection of the right person. As in the present case, PM Company needs a complete change in the organizational structure the selection process of the company has to be effective (Witkiewitz et al. 2010). In such, case it is important to note that being the new CEO the role in the recruitment process include the following:- The transformation in the recruitment process has to be effective. In such case, the employee is selected needs to have the academic background that is essential for the requirement of the company. The most important aspect in such case is that the transformation has to be positive along with the coordination of the newly hired employees. The other important and crucial work of the CEO is to build a team in the company that is effective to work together. The selection of the employees has to be such that there is presence of an integrative system. The integration and the cohesive work of the team could be efficient in dealing with the requirement of the customers. The customers would have effective service that was missing. The contribution of the CEO in the selection process is that most of the organization would have better customer service. The monitoring of the human resource team would be effective in channeling the rework of the organization. Apart from this, the important method is that selection of the team as per the academic degree and requirement would help in efficient workforce of PM Company. 3. Skills and attribute of the leadership style The major qualities required in any organization include honesty, delegation ability, communication, commitment, confidence, and effective relation with employees. In any organization, the above-mentioned attributes play a dominant role in dealing with the aspect of leadership. In the present case that is in the PM Company the leader needs to be dominant in all the aspect that is mentioned. Honesty- honesty of the leader is one of the key elements needed by any organization. in the present case the precarious condition that is due for PM company it is important that there are honest measures taken (Yukl, 2010). The role of the new CEO is to have a proficient and effective structure that is fruitful in making the team honest. The unethical transaction or any such process should not be, used along with the service of the company. The business should be clear with effective encouragement to the employees. Delegation ability- the ability of the organization for the purpose of delegation includes the leadership in the organization that is useful in identifying the strength of the organization. In this regard, it is important to note that trust in the team and the focus are the most important aspects of the organization. Communication- in order to establish the right communication technique the organization needs both traditional methods like meeting and modern methods. The modern methods include the ones that are effective in dealing with the advanced techniques. Senior (2010) put forward the major difference in between the management and the leadership is that in management there is a group of official to monitor. In case of the leadership, the leaders may be one or more than one but the most important aspect would be motivating the employees. Management focuses on systems where as leader focus on people. The management relies on the methods of control however; the trust is the most important aspect for the leader. The manager tries to imitative in case of much organization where as in case of leaders they try to originate. 4. Leadership styles and motivation of staff According to Lewin, there are three types of leadership that is commonly owned by the organization in terms of running the business successfully and achieve the goals of the business. These are Autocratic: this type of leaders does not consult with the team members in order to make the decision for business improvements. The autocratic leaders also do not consult or include any suggestion though it is useful. Majority of large organization such as Apple, Sony, etc uses the autocratic leadership style in order to grow their business and achieve the goals for the company. Bathurst and Monin (2010) argued that autocratic leadership style can be demoralizing. Democratic: leaders with the democratic style make their decision through consulting with the members and other information that relates m with the business. It is the most effective leadership style for running the business organization properly. It allows the leaders in motivating their employees (Biehl-Missal, 2010). Laissez-faire: This type of leaders provides freedom to their employees to do their work. It is not effective because in major cases employees do according to them that make losses for business. According to the current situation of PM Company, they have to integrate democratic leadership style because the company faces many troubles. Therefore, the new CEO has to consult with their team member to recover the situation. Democratic leadership style also allows the CEO to motivate their staffs through engaging them in core business process of PM Company. The new manager of the organization can easily motivate the respective employees in various ways. This can be done through the help of proper and effective means of communication to the respective employees. The new manager of the organization is required to take effective feedback from the employees regarding several issues that they are facing (Bush, 2010). If an effective communication process can solve this, then the productivity of the employees will increase at an increasing rate. If productivity and efficiency of the employees increases, then the sales and profits of the organization will automatically increase. This is one way the organization can easily attain its desired mission and vision. In addition to this, if the organization follows a participative leadership style, then, the employees of the organization will be highly motivated. This further induces that the organization may also distribute several financial and non-financial rewards to motivate all the respective e mployees. It can be further inferred that financial rewards of the organization includes bonus, incentives and form of remunerations. Levay (2010) opined Non-financial rewards include promotions, motivational certificates and others. Therefore, it can be deduced that if the organization gives these financial and non-financial rewards, then the employees will be highly motivated. Task 2: 1. Benefits and effectiveness of team working for achieving the goal and objective of the PM Company: As this PM Company has faced severe issues regarding management and leadership activities effective team working is very necessary as well as important for achieving the pre determined goal and objective of this company. Working with effective team is very essential for the activities of organization. Teamwork is the other name of co-operation among the members of the team as well as employees of the team. As discussed by Bledow et al. (2011), team is a group of small number of people with different expertise. Team is consisted with different people of complementary skills who are mostly committed towards meeting a common objective as well as purpose of the business company. Working with teams can be very helpful for improving the activities of the organization. Effective teamwork can be able to increase the competitiveness of the company by enhancing the productivity among the organization. The quality of work can be improved by the teamwork. Working with team also improves the motivation among the team members within the organization. On the other hand, Bibi et al. (2012) argued that, an effective team can be able to attain better result than the work of individual for the same purpose. The members of a team always share a common goal within the organization. Members of the team can also support the development and growth of the company. A team can do more innovative and difficult work. However, different experts are involved within a team can be able to achieve the commitment towards the goal and objective of the company. Different psychologists and management thinkers have focused upon the development of an effective team for achieving the pre-determined goal and objective of the organization. Belbins team role model is very necessary for understanding the advantage of a team in order to complete a goal of the organization. Belbin has identified nine roles of a team for achieving the goal as well as objective of the organization. Figure 1: Belbins team role model (Source: Bal et al. 2013, pp-110) Belbin has identified nine team roles and grouped those roles into three sectors. Every role has been included with the behavior and different interpersonal strengths of an individual. Nine team roles are included within action-oriented roles, people oriented roles and thought oriented roles. However, shaper, implementer and completer or finisher are involved within action oriented roles of a person (Chen and Hung, 2010). On the other hand, team worker, coordinator and resource investigator are included within people oriented roles of a team. Finally, plant, specialist and monitor evaluator are involved within the thought-oriented role of a team. However, the detail work structures of a team are discussed in a table format below: Action oriented roles Shaper Implementer Finisher Challenges the team for improving the present situation Puts different concepts within action Ensures timely completion of the task People oriented roles Coordinator Worker of team Resource investigator Acts like chairperson Enhances the cooperation between every members Explore different opportunities within outside era Thought oriented roles Plant Evaluator Specialist Presents some new approaches and concepts Investigates the options Provides different expert skills Table 1: Roles of members of a team in Belbins team role model (Source: Bakker et al. 2011, pp-10) Therefore, CEO of the PM Company should improvise the structure of the management within the organization. In order to improve the situation the CEO should focus upon the process of teamwork. An effective team can be able to meet the predetermined goal and objective of the organization. PM Company can utilize the team role model in order to identify the behavioral strengths and weakness of every person within the team. After that, the company should make a team of expertise within the organization. On the other hand, Babcock-Roberson and Strickland (2010) argued that, Bebins team role model could help this company for building productive relationship within the members of the team. This model can also be very helpful for the developing a high performance team with different capabilities of several people. This team role model can also be very much helpful for PM Company in order to manage effective recruitment process within a team. Those nine roles of a team can be helpful for achieving the goal within any critical as well as unforeseen situation within the organization. However, the team should be able to resolve any conflict while dealing with the particular task. PM Company should use this tool of Belbin in order to balance the team with the help of different people of particular abilities. This company should manage the interpersonal differences by utilizing the team role model of Belbin. Therefore, this company can be able to draw effective management and leadership abilities for the enhanced future operation of the business company. This company can be able to deliver different tasks for several people of the organization in order to achieve the goal. Team wok can be able to achieve an effective administration as well as leadership and management among different departments of the organization. Therefore, the CEO should focus upon the recruiting and selection process of the employees for delivering the task within the organization. The employees of the organization can be able to deliver the task as per the requirement of the particular task. 2. Explaining and evaluating the plan of monitoring process and performance management for the achievement of high standard management within the organization: As discussed by Anyadike (2013), performance management is very effective as well as important process of an organization. Employees and managers of an organization cooperate with the work practice of the organization with the help of performance management. Performance management process helps to plan, supervise as well as review the whole work objectives and contribution of different employees within the organization. An organization should focus upon different attributes of human resource management for perfectly manage the performance of the employees. Different factors are there for managing the performance of employees of the organization. Figure 2: Performance management (Source: Andersen and Minbaeva,2013, pp-810) Those are involved these factors within the planning of monitoring and assessment process of the work performance within the activities of employees within the organization. The management level of the organization should maintain the performance cycle for planning as well as reviewing the whole process of work within the organization. Planning is very necessary for understanding the major areas of responsibilities of the employees of the organization. This organization should be able to develop the individual priorities of the employees within the organization. However, Altarawmneh and Al-Kilani (2010) discussed that, good performance is related with the hard working and high performance among the employees of the organization. Strong commitment should be provided by the organization for achieving the perfect role within the organization. Quality, quantity, time and cost should be planned for the organization. On the other hand, Ali (2012) stated that, individual goal should be measured by SMART objective. There are some factors within the SMART setting of objective. Therefore, every individual should be able to deliver the pre-determined objective of SMART within the business organization. S refers to Smart, M refers to measurable, A refers to attainable objective, R refers to realistic and T refers to time bound activities of the individual employees of the organization. Every individual should determine a SMART goal within the work of the organization. SMART objective helps to visualize the proper planning of every individual within the organization. However, Adeniji et al. (2013) discussed that, there are different ways of optimizing the performance review within the organization. The techniques of performance review are involved within different steps; those are setting the particular goal with effective measures, beginning the planning of performance, ensuring the ongoing process, improving the productivity through better goal management process, gathering information from different number of sources. However, the aspect of performance management should be linked with recognition and rewards structure of the employees and managers of the organization. On the other hand, AbuKhalifeh et al. (2013) argued that, effective communication is very much required for this purpose. The standards of performance management should be properly communicated with the employees of the organization. Every employee and manager should know every standard of performance among the employees of the organization. An effective performance plan should be developed among the employees of the organization. Every employee should know the objective of the performance measures within the organization Conclusion: This assignment has discussed some effective techniques for the future development of PM Company within the business operational level of the organization. This company has faced several issues regarding management and leadership activities within the organization. Therefore, this company should develop improved and innovative technique of recruitment for the employees of the company. References Bathurst, R. and Monin, N. (2010).
